Website Design Manifesto
- Since there's no business requirements to meet, I can visually design this however I want. No more worrying about how something is not "safe" in a business sense.
- Push the boundaries of design. How can I design something fun and interesting without affecting accessibility?
- Overcome my corporate trauma of being told that my designs cannot be implemented. BE FREE!! This site is mine and I don't have to worry about what my boss wants me to make.
- Push the boundaries of my technical skills. Learn more code, make more fun things, experiment and learn from my mistakes!
- Be kind to myself. No matter what, I'm always improving. Try my best but never beat myself up if something is imperfect or not as good as I want it to be.
- Gain satisfaction from my design, coding, and learning progress.
- Create an organic site that grows and evolves in unrestrained ways.
- Make a cozy space that I would love to spend time on.
- Create a site that inspires others to join the indie web. No more being constrained and controlled by big social media companies who make money off our passions!
